AKB48の29枚目のシングルを歌うメンバーを決める「選抜じゃんけん大会」が18日、東京・千代田区の日本武道館で開幕した。3回目となる今年は、姉妹グループのSKE48、NMB48、HKT48を含め、計85人が出場。上位16人が選抜メンバーとなる。
1回戦では、メンバーの中で唯一、これまで全てのメジャーシングルで選抜入りしてきた小嶋陽菜(24)は、真赤な“勝負ドレス”で登場。山内鈴蘭(17)と対戦し、グーで勝利した。小嶋と同様に、事前の組み合わせ抽選会で初戦シード権を逃した総選挙上位組の峯岸みなみ、宮澤佐江、河西智美や、研究生で実姉が新体操のロンドン五輪日本代表のサイード横田絵玲奈は1回戦で敗退。板野友美、横山由依、高城亜樹は2回戦に進んだ。2回戦からはシードメンバーも出場する。
